Spoken Word Performance is a powerful form of self-expression that combines poetry, storytelling, and performance. This category celebrates the art of using your voice and body to convey emotion, meaning, and message with authenticity and impact.
Both original and published works are accepted. If performing a published work, you must cite the author. No props or visual aids are allowed—your voice and body are the only instruments needed to captivate and move your audience. This category is held in conjunction with the prestigious HBCU I Am Me Emerging Leaders Conference.
