General Information
The HBCU Oratorical Competition is open to students currently enrolled at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This event is designed to enhance students’ public speaking and debate skills across four categories: Prepared Public Speaking, Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Spoken Word Recitation, and Debate. Each category has specific requirements that participants must adhere to.
To participate, students must register through their respective college’s student affairs office. The competition is held annually and rotates among different host colleges. Participants should prepare their topics in advance and ensure their presentations or debates align with the themes provided by the organizers.
